Project management consultancy for delivery that has to work.
Four ways I help public and private sector organisations get difficult projects moving again — from a single independent review to full interim leadership of a stalled programme.
01 — Recovery
Project & Programme Recovery
When a programme has lost its way, the first job is an honest diagnosis: what is actually blocking delivery, what has been assumed rather than agreed, and what a realistic path looks like from here. I produce a recovery plan the sponsor can defend and the delivery team can execute — and then stay to drive it through.
What that looks like
Rapid diagnostic review
Realistic replan and rebaseline
Recovery governance and reporting
Hands-on delivery leadership
02 — Interim
Interim Project & Programme Direction
Sometimes there is no crisis, just a gap. I step in as Project Director or Project Manager at short notice and run the programme as if it were my own — from mobilisation through to benefits realisation — then hand over cleanly when the permanent role is filled.
What that looks like
Interim Project or Programme Director
Mobilisation and programme set-up
Supplier and contract management
Structured handover to your team
03 — Assurance
Delivery Assurance & Review
An independent read on whether a programme will land. I look at the plan, resourcing, dependencies, commercials and governance, and report what I find without softening it — with a clear list of what has to change, and by when.
What that looks like
Independent programme review
Stage-gate and readiness assurance
Risk, issue and dependency assessment
Board-ready findings and recommendations
04 — Engagement
Stakeholder Engagement
Most projects that fail do not fail technically. They fail because the people who needed to agree never did. Getting boards, sponsors, suppliers and delivery teams back into the same conversation — and keeping them there long enough for the plan to work — is where I add the most value.
What that looks like
Stakeholder mapping and engagement strategy
Board and sponsor reporting that lands
Supplier relationship reset
Communications and change support
Tell me what is going wrong.
A short conversation is usually enough to work out whether I can help, and what the first move should be.
