The commitment
qce.me.uk is intended to be usable by everyone, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, or need to enlarge text. The target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA.
What has been done
- Headings follow a logical order so screen readers can navigate the page structure
- The navigation, enquiry window and all links and buttons can be operated by keyboard
- Body and heading text meets the 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background
- The layout reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide
- Images carry alternative text, and decorative elements are marked as decorative
- Form fields have visible, permanently associated labels rather than placeholder-only prompts
Known limitations
This statement is based on a review carried out during the build of the site on 23 August 2026. It has not yet been checked by a formal accessibility audit, nor tested end to end with screen-reader software. Until it has been, conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA should be read as an intention rather than a verified claim.
